Practical Information
Are you planning to join a yoga class at Yoga Home soon?
Below you’ll find everything you need to know so you can start your practice feeling relaxed and well prepared.
Getting Ready for Your Yoga Class
For an enjoyable class, you don't need to bring much.
-
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
-
It is best not to come with a very full stomach.
-
Please try to arrive about 5 minutes before the class starts. There is no need to come much earlier, as there is no waiting area available.
-
Before class, you will be offered tea and water, which you are welcome to enjoy during and after the session.
Yoga mats, cushions, and blankets are provided in the studio.
If you prefer to use your own equipment, feel free to bring it along.
What if you have never taken a yoga class?
Then you're in the right place.
The classes are gently structured, and you will receive clear guidance throughout.
There is no need to do anything "perfectly". The focus is on discovering what feels right for you. The poses can always be adapted to suit your individual needs and abilities.
If you are unsure about anything during the class, feel free to ask.
Listening to Your Body (Health & Safety)
In yoga, there is really only one rule: listen to your body.
If something feels painful or uncomfortable, pay attention to your body's signals and gently come out of the pose. Be mindful of your limits and take a break whenever you need to. Everything can be done at your own pace.
Do you have an injury, are you pregnant, or are you dealing with any other physical concerns? Please let your teacher know before class so we can take this into account.
If you are unsure whether yoga is suitable for you, consult your doctor or healthcare provider before joining a class.
About the Yoga studio
Yoga Home is a small and peaceful home-based yoga studio in the heart of Maastricht.
Classes take place in a quiet space surrounded by a garden, with a private entrance. Because we work with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 participants, there is plenty of personal attention.
We focus on gentle styles of yoga, such as Yin Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, and Mum & Baby Yoga.
Information about the class schedule
The studio is closed during some school/public holidays.
You will receive timely notification of this, and you can always find the current information in the schedule.
Location & Accessibility
The studio is located at Cannerweg 196 in Maastricht. It is about 5–10 minutes from the city centre of Maastricht and is easily accessible by bike, on foot, and by bus (line 3 towards Wolder, stop Aramislaan).
Parking is also available right in front of the building.
You can find the studio by walking through the white gate and taking the stone outdoor staircase upstairs.
I look forward to welcoming you soon!
